Environmental Protection Policy

It is Berean’s policy to conduct its business in a manner which assures optimum protection of the environment. In additional too, careful compliance with relevant laws and regulations, efficient use of natural resources and waste reduction are keys to achieving this objective.

This policy commits us to provide regular training to all employees, improve our technology and enlist the co-operation of our suppliers, customers and neighboring communities to build better environmental practices.    

It is the responsibility of Line management, with the support of the HSE and legal organizations, to implement the Environmental Protection Policy.

Community Relation Policy

In keeping with our Community Affairs, Security, Health, Environment and Safety ( Cashes ) policy objectives, activities of the company in all its areas of operation are planned and executed in such a manner that :

  • Shall preserve the health, Safety and security of the members of the general public including the host community who may be affected by our operations.
  • Ensures minimum impact on the environment of the host community: All pollutants like; chemicals and allied products in use on site shall be used and controlled in such a manner that all spillage and wastes are controlled within the project site.
  • Leakage or overflow to the adjoining Environment shall be avoided at all costs by using Tanker to safely suck up and discharge such wastes in good time into the Clients approved dump-site or discharge bunker or pit.
  • Any Environmental incident or pollution shall be attended to immediately and measures taken to forestall reoccurrence. In any case of spillage to the environment, the Asset Holder must immediately be notified of the extent of pollution or incident.

Berean shall be sensitive to the needs, requirements and aspirations of the host community as much as are reasonably practicable.

Berean shall employ at least 50% of its workforce on site from the host community where requisite levels of skill are available.

It is Berean’s policy to employ proactive approach to communicate with our host communities. Berean will foster healthy long term relationship with our host communities through observance of the highest standards in our work conduct and develop mutually beneficial solutions to reduce negative impact on the lives of our host communities and environment.

Preference shall be given to the residents of the immediate community in all matters of employment on site.

Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) Policy

Berean Oilfield and Energy Services Nig Ltd is committed to a global quality management system focused on customer satisfaction. It is the corporate responsibility of Berean as an organization to understand Customers’ needs and strive to continuously improve our processes, raising our standards with a view towards exceeding Clients’ expectation with high quality, innovative products and services – having a good understanding of the Nigerian Oil and gas environment.

Our products and Services includes but not limited to the following:

  • Cementing and Associated services
  • Stimulation and Pumping Services
  • Pipeline services
  • Coiled Tubing Services,
  • Nitrogen and Associated Services
  • Engineering Services

With reference to the nature of our operations, utmost importance is attached to conformance of our services with international acceptable standard. In essence, Service quality in the end is “key” to what we do.

The Berean Quality Management System conforms to the International Standard IS0/FDIS 9001:2008(E), planned and developed jointly with all our management functions. We are all committed to operating continuously to this standard and we will maintain the necessary Quality Approvals consistent with our customer requirements.

The quality policy is based on 3 fundamental principles:

  • Ensuring that we fully identify and conform to the needs of our customers.
  • Looking at our service delivery processes, identifying the potential for errors and taking the necessary action to eliminate them.
  • Everyone understanding how to do their job and not just doing their jobs but doing it right the first time.

Our goal is to deliver measurable results by offering services and engineered solution that optimizes our customer hydrocarbon recovery process in an environment that is safe and efficient. We intend to achieve this, through our well site operations and partnerships with technology leaders and also leverage on proven technical and engineering expertise.

The assurance of quality is fundamental for all work undertaken by Berean and will be implemented by our staff in their work. To that effect Berean shall:

  • Maintain consistency in work method in accordance with set policies, procedures, regulations and codes of practice.
  • Ensure that all policies, procedures, relevant regulations and codes of practice are implemented and systematically reviewed to reflect Berean’s values.

Regularly monitor and measure the quality of its work methods, outputs and outcomes with a view to ensuring high quality standards, best value and continuous improvement

It is Berean Line management responsibility to provide the necessary tools to ensure safe, cost effective and efficient service delivery to our esteemed customers.

Nigerian Content Policy


As a matter of Policy, Berean Oilfield and Energy Services Limited has developed this NCD Policy to comply with the Nigeria Content Directive of the FEDERAL REPULBLIC OF NIGERIA on local content, materials, suppliers and manpower from Nigeria and to make use of services and facilities professional or otherwise which are rendered by Nigerians or companies incorporated in Nigeria, except when after proper research, such services/facilities are not available in Nigeria.

Berean shall comply with the NCD directive as follows:

  • Long term use of Nigerian financial institutions to fund projects and manage financial accounts (debtors and creditors).
  • Procurement of all necessary materials for a project would be sourced locally, except certain products or commodities are not available in Nigeria or at client's request.
  • Employment of staff from local communities who are qualified and capable of being responsible of their official duties as well as encourage the transfer of knowledge between expatriates and Nigerians where applicable.
  • Show commitment by deliberate Addition or creation of value in-country via capacity building of locals, Technology transfer programs, Technology mentorship programs, increasing physical operational presence and investment in Nigeria, creating opportunities in human resources, development of Nigerian contractors and suppliers and implementing various innovation that will increase Nigerian content development in Nigeria.

The enforcement of this policy shall be the responsibility of the Managing Director.

 

Quality Management System Policy

The shared goal and responsibility of Berean Management and each of its employees is to understand the customer’s needs and by continuously improving our processes and performance, we not only meet but where possible exceed their expectations with high quality, innovative products and services, technical expertise, supplier partnerships, and industry relationship.

The quality policy is based on 3 fundamental principles:

  • Ensuring that we fully identify and conform to the needs of our customers.
  • Looking at our service provision processes, identifying the potential for errors and taking the necessary action to eliminate them.
  • Everyone understanding how to do their job and doing it right first time.

Within this Policy we are committed to operating our Company under the disciplines and control of a Quality Management System conforming to the International Standard IS0/FDIS 9001:2008(E), planned and developed jointly with our other management functions. We are all committed to operating continuously to this standard and we will maintain the necessary Quality Approvals consistent with our customer requirements.

Our Company will constantly review and improve on our services to ensure tasks are completed in the most cost effective and timely manner for the benefit of all our customers. We shall ensure that all our personnel understand and fully implement our Company's policies and objectives and are able to perform their duties effectively through an ongoing training and development program.

 

Business Continuity Policy

The purpose of this Policy is to provide Berean Oilfield and Energy Services Nig. Ltd resilience for its critical business activities through the implementation of controls that minimize the impact of a disruption on its business products, services, employees and infrastructure, and to outline an appropriate response should such an event occur.

Berean recognizes the importance of maintaining the uninterrupted availability of all key business resources necessary to support essential and critical Business operations. 

In identifying business continuity risks, the focus shall be on building of the resilience and response capabilities within business functions that have been identified as critical by the organization.

Treatment options for non critical functions shall also be identified and documented within the framework; this ensures that Berean has the whole organization’s view when responding to interruption events, as the nature of these events can change rapidly.
